How To Refill A Sustee
When do I need to replace the refill?
Sustee refills usually last around 6–9 months, depending on your watering habits, plant type and environment.
It’s time for a new refill if:
-
The indicator stops changing colour
-
The window stays white or blue, no matter how much you water
-
Your Sustee just isn’t responding like it used to
(Think of refills like batteries — they do their job quietly, then eventually need swapping.)

How to replace a Sustee refill
-
Remove Sustee from the pot and gently brush off any soil.
-
Remove the Top Cap and the End Cap by twisting them.
-
Remove the old inner core and be sure to remove any that is left in the End Cap. Then wash and dry all parts thoroughly.
-
Prepare the new inner core.
The ‘Straw & Sheet’ is an essential part that changes the indicator from white to blue and back.
Please do not remove it and always use SUStee with it in place.
-
Attach the End Cap, then insert the core from the top.
Adjust it so that the ‘Straw & Sheet’ is positioned at the indicator. Finally, put the top cap back on to complete assembly.
That’s it! Your Sustee is back on duty 💧

Good to know:
-
The outer case is reusable — only the inner refill needs replacing
-
Replacing the refill keeps your readings accurate and your watering stress-free
